SAMBA
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Originally built in the Netherlands in 1966 as a private luxury yacht, the Samba Galapagos Yacht underwent a meticulous conversion process to become a cruise ship that is tailored for exploring the Galapagos Islands. Measuring 23.77 meters in length, the vessel features wooden decks spanning 78 feet and can comfortably accommodate up to 14 passengers, which is the ideal number for exploring the islands with privacy and flexibility. There are seven cabins available for passengers, each equipped with a private bathroom and hot water.
On the Samba’s main deck, there is a spacious dining area that connects to an outdoor dining facility, as well as a small reading area stocked with books and DVDs about the islands, a television, and sound equipment. In the evenings, short speeches providing information about the upcoming day are delivered here.
The upper deck of the motor yacht Samba offers an ideal vantage point for observing marine life, with an outdoor dining area and a sheltered section. There is ample space on the foredeck for sunbathing, dolphin watching, or simply relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Galapagos Islands.
In addition to its exceptional facilities, the Samba boasts one of the best naturalist guides in the Galapagos Islands. The crew of the vessel is not only welcoming but also highly skilled in their respective roles, and they are committed to ensuring that every aspect of your journey to the Galapagos is an experience of a lifetime.
