Your journey continues on Isabela Island, home to incredible volcanic scenery and unique marine ecosystems. Snorkel at Tintoreras Islet, explore the famous lava formations of Los Tuneles & Cabo Rosa, and visit the impressive Sulfur Mines on the slopes of the active Sierra Negra Volcano. TINERARY DESCRIPTION

DAY 1: TRANSFER IN – INTERPRETATION CENTER & TIJERETAS HILL TOUR

Discover the history and natural wonders of San Cristóbal Island on this fascinating guided excursion. Begin with a visit to the Interpretation Center, where you will learn about the volcanic origin of the Galápagos Islands, their unique ecosystems, wildlife, ocean currents, and the history of human settlement in the archipelago.

Continue with a scenic hike to Tijeretas Hill, named after the magnificent frigatebirds that nest in the area. Along the trail, enjoy spectacular coastal views and observe these iconic seabirds in their natural habitat. From the viewpoint, take in breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the beautiful coastline of San Cristobal Island.

DAY 2: KICKER ROCK SNORKELING

After breakfast, we head to the pier to take the boat that will take us to the Kicker Rock, where we will have the opportunity to snorkel with exotic species such as sharks, rays, sea lions, and tropical fish. This trip will be complemented with a beach activity located in a pristine site. Lunch on board - return to the hotel.

DAY 4: ESPANOLA ISLAND

The meeting point will be at the Puerto Baquerizo dock at 07:30 a.m., where the adventure will begin with a 2-hour (approx.) navigation to Española Island. The first stop will begin with a 2-hour walk. Along the way you will see some of the most iconic species of the Galapagos: the Galapagos albatross (only during mating season from March to January), the blue-footed booby, the Nazca boobies (which nest there) and the colorful iguanas of Spanish. After this walk and back on the boat, you will sail to Gardner Islet and where we can dive with equipment (mask and fins) to explore the waters of Gardner Bay to swim with sea lions, Galapagos sharks, goldfish and iguana’s marine. Then we will return to San Cristóbal and return to Puerto Baquerizo around 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. return to the hotel.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ – TORTUGA BAY – HIGHLANDS

Breakfast, transfer to Santa Cruz Island. Visit to the beautiful Tortuga Bay, unique in the world for its landscape, where we can observe marine iguanas among other animal species, return to the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to the Highlands, which includes a visit to the Twin Craters, fantastic volcanic formations where the lush endemic vegetation of the Island can be appreciated, and to finish the adventure, a visit to a private Ranch where "giant tortoises" in their natural habitat can be found, and there will be a walk through an incredible lava tunnel. Return to the hotel.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO ISLAND (BARTOLOME OR NORTH SEYMOUR)

After Breakfast

OPTION 1: departure from Puerto Ayora, to Bartolome Island: Named in honor of Sir Bartholomew Sullivan of the British Navy. It has an area of 1.2 km² and a maximum altitude of 114 meters. This island offers some of the most beautiful landscapes of the archipelago. The island is composed of an extinct volcano and a variety of red, orange, green and bright black volcanic formations. The lava cactus of the Galapagos colonizes the new lava fields. On this island is the famous Pinnacle, which is one of the most representative places of the archipelago. Here you can dive and snorkel with penguins, sea lions, white tip reef sharks and other tropical fish. Seasonally, Bartolomé is the mating and nesting site of the green turtle. The bay is also an excellent place to go swimming. The twin bays are separated by a narrow isthmus.
Sullivan Bay: This unique landscape is composed of a pair of eroded scoria lava cones which were engulfed by a recent (in geological terms) pahoehoe lava flow and which is considered one of the finest in the world.

After Breakfast

OPTION 2: North Seymour Island: Named after the English noble Lord Hugh Seymour. It has an area of 1.9 km² and a maximum altitude of 28 meters. The whole island is covered with dense and dense vegetation, and has a trail for visitors of approximately 2 km in length that crosses the island’s path and allows you to explore the rocky coast. On this island there is a large population of blue-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls. There are also countless land iguanas, which were introduced from Baltra Island, and which served to repopulate the island with this species. It is also possible to observe a large number of frigates and sea lions with their young.
Bachas Beach: The beach is full of characteristic Galapagos species such as flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crabs, as well as migratory and aquatic birds. It is also one of the main nesting sites for sea turtles on Santa Cruz Island.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO ISABELA - TINTORERAS

Breakfast/Departure from Puerto Ayora to Puerto Villamil, with an estimated arrival time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The activities to be carried out are as follows: we disembark at the pier, The short navigation (20 min) starts at the pier aboard a boat. The islet takes its name from the white-finned sharks known as Tintoreras. We will find: sea lions, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, Sally Lightfoot crabs, sea turtles, pelicans, and the peculiar Galapagos penguins. This exalted display of wildlife will leave us breathless. Then we will move to a sea inlet on the islet for snorkeling, the site is ideal for this activity because a great variety of fish, starfish, sea urchins, manta rays, and the beautiful sharks and sea lions swim in the site.

Afterward, we will take a transport to the Arnaldo Tupiza breeding center where we can observe giant tortoises native to Isabela Island, we will visit the flamingo pool to observe the majesty of these birds. Transfer to the hotel.

DAY 7: TUNELES AND CABO ROSA

Today we will visit Cabo Rosa Tunnels! The best snorkeling in Isabela, Galapagos Islands! We will leave from the port of Isabela and sail for approximately 45 minutes to the place where we will snorkel. Here we will be able to see the seahorse, sea turtles, blue sharks, rays and if we are lucky, Galapagos penguins. We will also have a walk through the tunnels where we will see the blue-footed boobies. After this day full of activity, we will return to the hotel.

DAY 8: VOLCAN SIERRA NEGRA – TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ

Your journey begins with a scenic ride from Puerto Villamil to the base of Sierra Negra Volcano. As you ascend the gentle slopes, your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the island's unique ecology and the volcano's fiery history. The hike to the rim offers a manageable challenge for adventurers of all levels, culminating in a breathtaking view of one of the world's largest volcanic calderas - a staggering 10 kilometers wide.

Enjoy a well-deserved Snack Box while taking in panoramic views of the caldera, where the stark contrasts of black lava and vibrant greenery coexist in dramatic beauty. This moment of rest offers a perfect opportunity for photos and reflection on the sheer scale of nature's power.
Afternoon Exploration
The adventure continues with a trek along the rim, offering changing perspectives of the caldera and the chance to spot rare bird species and endemic plants. For those seeking an extra thrill, an optional extension to Volcan Chico presents lunar landscapes and active fumaroles, hinting at the ongoing volcanic activity beneath your feet.

In the afternoon, transfer back by speedboat to Santa Cruz Island.

DAY: 9 CHARLES DARWIN STATION - TRANSFER OUT

After breakfast and check-out, if flight schedules allow, you will have the opportunity to visit the renowned Charles Darwin Research Station, one of the most important conservation centers in the Galápagos Islands. During the visit, learn about the ongoing efforts to protect the archipelago's unique ecosystems and observe the famous giant tortoises while discovering the breeding and conservation programs that help preserve these iconic species.

Following the visit, you will be transferred to Baltra Airport in time for your flight to Quito or Guayaquil.
